Privacy Policy

1. Data controller

Belzio is published by [Publisher name to be completed], the controller of the data described here. For any question about your personal data, write to support@belzio.app.

2. Data collected

We only collect the data required to operate the service:

• account: account ID, email address, name or nickname, confirmation that you are at least 15 (Belzio never asks for a birth date or exact age);
• profile: city, profile photo if you add one, bio, optional Instagram and TikTok links, favorite sports, level and position;
• activity: matches hosted or joined, invitations, attendance, results, reviews, stats, XP, badges and rankings;
• social: friendships, text and voice messages in match chats, social activity and reactions;
• Urban: GPS route, distance, duration and pace, only when you voluntarily start the tracker;
• purchases: App Store product, subscription and transaction history, to validate and restore your purchases;
• technical: notification preferences and tokens, language, and diagnostics if you enable them;
• safety: reports, blocked users and data needed for moderation.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Providing the service (contract): creating and securing your account, displaying and organizing matches, running chat, friends, progress and notifications;
• Consent: location, microphone for voice messages, push notifications, public web profile and optional diagnostics. You can withdraw consent at any time in Belzio or iOS settings;
• Legitimate interest: community safety, moderation, abuse and fraud prevention, service reliability;
• Legal obligation: retaining certain data when required by law.

Belzio does not use your data for advertising and does no ad tracking.

4. Authentication

Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. You can sign in with email and password, Sign in with Apple or Google Sign In.

• Sign in with Apple: Belzio receives a secure Apple identifier and, only if Apple shares them, your name or email address;
• Google Sign In: Belzio may receive the Google ID, email address, name and profile picture shared by Google;
• email: the address and encrypted password are managed by Supabase Auth.

This information is only used to create, secure and restore your Belzio account.

5. Location and Urban tracker

Belzio may use your location to center the map, find venues and attach coordinates to matches. Location is optional and subject to your permission in iOS.

The Urban tracker uses precise location, including in the background during an activity you start, to record your route. Tracking stops when you finish or discard the activity. A solo activity’s detailed GPS route is only accessible to its author; the friends feed may show a coordinate-free summary (distance, duration, XP). An activity linked to an Urban match is accessible to that match’s members.

On Apple Watch, workouts can be saved to the Health app with your permission.

6. Profiles, matches and web profile

Your profile may be visible to other signed-in users to support invitations, team building, rankings and participant lists. Public matches are visible to signed-in users. Private matches are limited to the host, participants and invited users.

A public web profile (belzio.app/@handle) is only published after you turn it on in the app. It never shows your email, account ID, friends, messages, invitations, locations, notifications or detailed history.

7. Chat and user content

Text and voice messages sent in a match chat are only visible to that match’s authorized members. The microphone is only used when you choose to record a voice message. You can report a message or a user, and block a user.

8. Purchases

Belzio Premium subscriptions and cosmetic packs are purchased through the App Store. Payment is processed by Apple: Belzio never receives your card details. Belzio keeps the product and transaction history needed to verify and restore your purchases.

9. Optional diagnostics

If you voluntarily enable Diagnostics in settings, Belzio may receive minimized data about app opens, crashes, slowdowns and the app version. This collection is off by default, is not used for advertising and can be withdrawn at any time.

10. Recipients and processors

Your data is never sold. It is only accessible to the people and providers who need it to run the service:

• Supabase: database, authentication, file storage and server functions;
• Apple: Sign in with Apple, push notifications, App Store purchases and, on Apple Watch, the Health app;
• Google: Google Sign In, if you choose that method;
• FEELB SARL: hosting of the belzio.app website.

When data is processed outside the European Union, these transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

11. Retention

Data needed for the service is kept for the lifetime of your account. Some data is deleted automatically:

• optional diagnostics and processed notifications: 90 days;
• technical incidents: 180 days;
• closed reports and admin logs: 24 months.

12. Security

Data access is protected by security rules enforced directly in the database: each user can only read what they are allowed to see. Traffic is encrypted in transit.

13. Account deletion

You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete my account). This deletes your authentication account and associated data, including profile, participations, messages, invitations, friends, preferences, avatar and Urban activities. Personal files are erased before the deletion is confirmed. See the Account deletion page.

14. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can request access to, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and object to certain processing, by writing to support@belzio.app. You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).

15. Minimum age

Belzio is for people aged 15 and over. If you believe an account was created by someone younger, please contact support.

16. Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The last updated date is shown at the top of this page. You will be notified in the app of any significant change.
